9. What is the best time for fat burning? For cardiovascular training the 2 most effective times of the day are first thing in the morning prior to your first meal as this then forces your body to tap into the excess calories that were stored from the day before not that calories that will ingest from your breakfast and the other time is last thing before you go to bed as this will minimise the amount of surplus calories that you may have in your body that would normally be stored as fats.
